September is Library Card Sign-up Month. The American Library Association and the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries want to make sure that all children in the Chattahoochee Valley have the smartest card of all … a library card.
Studies have shown that children whose parents read to them and who use the library, do better in school. They also use the library as a source of lifetime learning.
At local libraries, children can get homework help and check out books. They can also play games, check out music and movies and use the Internet.
Getting a library card is as simple as visiting one of the eight libraries in the Columbus area.
