Obama will hold a special web cast, entitled The President Talks to Students, on Tuesday, September 8 at noon. Schools are not required to view the speech, but some teachers may choose to use it as a learning activity.
Parents of Muscogee County students who do not want their child to watch the speech can fill out a form available on the school district’s Web site or at their child’s school. Students that opt out will be provided with an alternative activity.
Parents must return the form to their child’s school by 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8.
