The results are in for the fifth annual U.S. Army Combatives Championship held over the weekend on Fort Benning.
After three days of preliminary, intermediate and final matches, Fort Campbell, home of the 101st Airborne Division, was the team winner with 271 points. The 3rd Infantry Division came in second with 262 points and Fort Riley, Kan., came in third with 248 points. Fort Benning came in sixth out of 10 teams with 197 points.
Sgt. Joe Clarke of Fort Lewis, Wash., won the flyweight division while Capt. Ken Laird of Fort Carson, Colo., beat out Capt. Neil Chitwood, of SROTC Battalion, Capital University Bexley Ohio, to take the lightweight title.
Welterweight went to Staff Sgt. Pedro Lacerda, of the 75th Ranger Regiment. Staff Sgt. Jacob South, of the 95th Division, won the middleweight title.

Cruiserweight went to Lt. Col. Larry McCord, of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment while the light heavyweight title went to Staff Sgt. John Gendron, of 75th Ranger Regiment.
The heavyweight title went to Staff Sgt. Brandon Sayles, of the 3rd Infantry Division.
