Three firefighters hurt in the Sunday night blaze at River Road Pharmacy have been treated and released, Columbus Fire & EMS said.
Firefighters Tanya Clark, David Watson and Will Jackson were hurt while battling the fire at 5100 River Road around 10 p.m., said Fire Marshal Thomas Streeter.
“There was smoke inhalation, heat exhausation and Firefighter Jackson received second-degree burns to his face,” Streeter said. “They’re all fine. They’ve been released.”
The cause of the fire is still unknown. Firefighters remain on the scene, checking hot spots and waiting for equipment to arrive before entering the unstable building.
