The Muscogee County School District will hold a two-day workshop next week for parents of students at Title I schools.
The district's Title I Parent University will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 16 at the Columbus Public Library. Title I is a federal program in which high-poverty schools and districts receive funds to provide educational services to students who are educationally disadvantaged or at risk of failing to meet state standards.
At the workshop, parents will learn about ways they can help their children improve academically. Registration forms at available at the schools and through the parenting coordinator at the district's Title I office.
