Phenix City police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Friday night.

A Phenix City woman said she was leaving the Taco Bell at 2059 U.S. 280 around 10 p.m. when a man approached her vehicle and pointed a handgun at her.

He reached through the passenger side window and took her purse which contained the business deposit.

The thief then left in a light colored Ford Crown Victoria.

Phenix City police are investigating.
