The target of a warrant was found hiding underneath the kitchen sink cabinet early Saturday when Columbus police searched his home, reports state.
Christopher Kennedy, 28, was sought in connection with a New Year’s Day shooting on Clover Lane. Kennedy is accused of firing a black-handled .380-caliber pistol at a man who wasn’t hurt in the shooting, police said.
Officers arrived at the suspect’s home around 5 a.m. to serve a warrant, reports state. After knocking at the door of the Knox Street home several times, Kimberly Roland, 33, answered, police said. She told officers they could search the home, which led to their discovery of Kennedy hiding under the kitchen sink cabinet, reports state.
In addition, officers also found a small bag of what appeared to be marijuana. The pistol believed to have been used in the Friday shooting was found in the suspect’s bed room, police said.
Kennedy was charged with aggravated assault, pointing a pistol at another, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Roland was charged with hindering the apprehension of a criminal.
