A Fort Mitchell, Ala. man died Sunday afternoon in a wreck on Alabama Highway 165 and Patterson Road, authorities said.
Cordarrell James Holt, 22, was a passenger in a Pontiac Grand Am that was in a wreck with an SUV, said Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. “There were two vehicles,” Sumbry said. “One of the vehicles got T-boned.”
Holt was pronounced dead at 4:03 p.m. EST. He died from blunt force injuries, Sumbry said.
The coroner didn’t know which vehicle was traveling on Ala. 165 or how many people were in the SUV. Others involved in the wreck were taken to a hospital, he said.
“Their status is really unclear at this point,” he added.
