A Columbus man was shot twice in the face late Sunday while sitting in an SUV, police said.
The 37-year-old was behind the driver of the 2005 silver GMC Envoy around 10:40 p.m. as the vehicle headed south on Morris Road. It came to a stop near the Interstate 185 bridge, and that’s when the suspect’s red sedan pulled beside it, reports state.
A passenger in the sedan stepped outside and fired two shots at the SUV. The rear-seat passenger was hit twice in the face, police said. He was taken to The Medical Center and was in guarded condition, reports show.
