When "Menopause The Musical" opened the 2008-09 season at the Springer Opera House, it sold out immediately.
Seeing that, the folks at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, booked it for two performances. Tickets are on sale now for 8 p.m. March 20 and 2 p.m. March 21 in the Bill Heard Theatre, RiverCenter, 900 Broadway.
The musical is about four diverse women who meet at a lingerie sale in a department store. They laugh, talk and commiserate over their hot flashes, night sweats, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles and chocolate binges.
They sing song parodies of hits from the 1960s-'80s.
Nearly 11 million women have seen this show since it made its debut in 2001. Writer and producer Jeanie Linders has said the play was inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine.
Tickets are $37.50-$47.50.
