Evelyn Rushin Creighton -- mother of Georgia Congressman Sanford Bishop, Jr.'s wife, Vivian Creighton Bishop -- died Tuesday of natural causes at her home on Fort Benning Road in Columbus.
Evelyn Creighton, 80, was the widow of the late retired Sgt. First Class Frank R. Creighton, Sr.
She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Creighton Whitaker of East Point, Ga.; Vivian Creighton Bishop of Columbus; and a son, Frank R. Creighton, Jr. of Columbus.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
