Fort Benning will say goodbye Friday to 13 soldiers with the 926th Medical Detachment during a deployment ceremony at the Sightseeing Road Chapel on post.
The group of preventive medicine technicians will deploy to Iraq when the unit departs in mid-February.
During their yearlong tour, the soldiers will provide preventive medicine support to minimize health threats in their area of operation.
The 926th returned from their last deployment in July 2008.
The unit is part of the 14th Combat Support Hospital, which is currently serving in Iraq.
The Sightseeing Road Chapel is located at the intersection of Way Street and Sightseeing Road. The event starts at 10 a.m.
