Columbus High School, the county's only total magnet high school, will hold two open houses at 7 p.m. today and tomorrow at the school on Cherokee Avenue.
Columbus High is a liberal arts, college preparatory magnet. The program includes four units in English, social studies, science and mathematics; three units in the humanities; and one unit in the fine arts. The school also offers fifteen advanced placement courses, so students can earn college credit.
The school is a total magnet with no attendance zone and student must apply and take an entrance exam in order to be admitted. The entrance exam will be offered on February 6, February 27 and March 27.
