Auburn University and the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering will host a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday for a new $21 million facility that will house the school's new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) research center.
The ceremony will be at 2 p.m.
It will be located in the Auburn Research Park on Devall Drive.
The public is invited.
Among those on hand will be Alabama Gov. Bob Riley and Auburn University President Jay Gouge.
The construction of the 45,000-square-foot-facility should be in September.
