Russell County Sheriff Tommy Boswell was chosen to lead the statewide Alabama Criminal Justice Information Commission for 2010.
Boswell was picked as the commission’s chairman on Jan. 28. Marshall County District Attorney Steve Marsh was selected to be the vice chairman. The 19-member commission oversees the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center. The center collects, stores and retrieves crime information for the state’s law enforcement agencies.
Boswell was first elected sheriff in 1989.
