Too many turnovers spelled the end of Central's season on Friday in the Class 6A regional final.
Jeff Davis beat the Lady Red Devils 48-39.
Jeff Davis scored the final nine points of the third quarter to take a 37-30 lead.
Central, which managed just eight points in the period, took a 30-28 lead with 2:12 left.
It was a much better second quarter for the Central Lady Red Devils as they outscored Jeff Davis 17-7.
At halftime, Central trails 23-22 in the Class 6A regional final.
Monique Jackson leads Central with 10 points. Jatoria Carter leads Jeff Davis with 14.
In the first quarter, Central was 0-for-16 from the field and made nine turnovers.
But they trailed only 15-5 to Jeff Davis.
The winner will advance to next week's final four in Birmingham, Ala.
The game is being played at the Acadome on the Alabama State campus.
