Amid a TMZ report claiming she almost quit "American Idol," Crystal Bowersox posted a Facebook message Friday afternoon that notes, "We all have moments of doubt."
The post, which you can view on the official Facebook page for this season's "Idol" contestants, does not directly mention the TMZ report. Bowersox writes:
We all have moments of doubt. As much as I miss my kid, the big picture is this: im doing this for him and my fans. I'm having the time of my life!
About two weeks ago, front-runner Bowersox said she couldn't handle the competition, hated the attention and missed her family, the TMZ report claims.
Never miss a local story.
Host Ryan Seacrest convinced her to remain on the Fox reality TV show, according to TMZ. A Friday E! Online article says Seacrest -- who also works for E! -- confirmed the TMZ report.
During the semifinal phase of the competition, Bowersox had a medical issue -- reportedly a result of her diabetes -- that forced a schedule change so she'd be able to perform.
Next week, the seven remaining "Idol" singers perform inspirational songs. Wednesday's results show marks the "Idol Gives Back" charity special.
