Chattahoochee Valley Community College will announce the largest private contribution in school history today.
An early afternoon news conference has been scheduled to go public with what is believed to be a six-figure donation from Braves pitcher and CVCC alum Tim Hudson.
The money will go to the two-year college's athletic department. Hudson, who was raised in Phenix City and starred at Glenwood, CVCC and Auburn University before going to big leagues, is expected to be in town for the announcement. The Braves have an off day today and Hudson is not scheduled to pitch until Wednesday against the Phillies.
