Rodney Pugh, on trial and charged with murder in the December 2008 deaths of two men, pleaded guilty this morning to robbery.
Pugh, 23, was sentenced to 12 years in prison, followed by eight on probation, the Muscogee County Clerk of Court’s Office said.
Pugh was implicated by prosecutors in the Dec. 17, 2008, shootings of Jarvis Sanks and Ronald Coleman, both 30. Pugh was the last of three men charged in the shootings on Lansing Avenue in Columbus. The first two, brothers Dezmond and Xavier Cannon, have already pleaded guilty and been sentenced.
Pugh’s trial began on Monday.
