The Hughston Foundation will host a workers’ compensation conference April 30 in Columbus.
Attendees will learn about best practices for a proactive workers’ compensation program. Occupational nurses, workers’ compensation administrators, safety and OSHA director, insurance adjustors and case managers are invited.
Speakers will include Richard S. Thompson, chairman of the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation, and attorneys from the Albany law firm of Moore, Clark, Duvall and Rodgers.
The event, which will be held at 6262 Veterans Parkway, is from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Event proceeds will be donated to Kids' Chance of Georgia, which provides scholarships to kids whose parents have been seriously or fatally injured in work-related accidents.
