Members of the Auburn Police Department will sit on top on a Wal-Mart for 38 hours to raise money for this year's Alabama Special Olympics, beginning Friday at 8 a.m. at the Wal-Mart on South College Street.
The "Cops on Top" event will end Saturday, May 1st at 10 p.m. There will also be officers on the ground throughout the event to accept donations from citizens.
Auburn police are one of many law enforcement agencies across Alabama participating in "Cops on Top." Last year, officers across the state raised more than $95,000 during this event.
