A 52-year-old Columbus man was arrested for public indecency Wednesday after a woman walking past his house with her 12-year-old granddaughter told police he exposed himself to them.
Larry Pollard of 2929 Hood St., was charged with two counts of public indecency and released from the Muscogee County Jail on $250 bond for each count.
According to investigators, the grandmother, 49, said she was walking her granddaughter past Pollard’s house about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when she “heard a strange noise.” They looked over and saw a man standing in his doorway with the door open and his pants unzipped, exposing himself.
As they walked on, the granddaughter said the same man did the same thing on April 27 when she was walking home from school.
Police said that when they questioned Pollard, he admitted that he had come to his door earlier with his pants unzipped and may have exposed himself “due to his medical condition.” He told officers he had high blood pressure and cholesterol, police said.
