Glenwood rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh to beat Pike Liberal 3-2 in Game 1 of the AISA Class AAA championship series at Paterson Field.
The second game of today's doubleheader will begin around 7:40 p.m. ET. It is a best-of-three series.
The Gators (37-6) had one hit through six innings but broke through in the seventh. Glenwood loaded the bases against Pike starter Will Starling with one out before Chase Silvani greeted reliever Ross Hixon with a two-run single to center to tie the game.
One batter later, Matthew Kuhlenberg singled to right to score Kyle Switzer with the go-ahead run, making it 3-2.

Reliever Tyler Brown pitched around a hit batsman in the seventh to earn the save.
Caleb Goodman earned the win in relief, striking out the only batter he faced in the sixth to strand the bases loaded.
Kuhlenberg, Glenwood's starter, gave up two runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out seven.
Hixon went 3-for-3 for Pike (30-4) with two doubles, a run and an RBI.
