Aaron Kelly didn't have enough swagger to impress "American Idol" voters on Frank Sinatra week. The teenager was eliminated from the Fox reality competition Wednesday night.
On Tuesday's performance show, Aaron's rendition of "Fly Me to the Moon" got lukewarm reviews from the four-judge panel. He had the dreaded first-singer spot this week, which didn't work in his favor, either.
But Aaron wasn't nearly as bad as Casey James, the rocker many fans predicted would be eliminated Wednesday.
Casey wasn't even in the bottom two. Michael "Big Mike" Lynche was the second-lowest vote-getter.
Never miss a local story.
Wednesday's show also included performances by Lady Gaga and Harry Connick Jr., this week's mentor.
Next week, the remaining four contestants will perform movie songs. Jamie Foxx will mentor.
