An attempted kidnapping charge has been dropped against a 17-year-old accused of trying to carry away a girl from the playground at Georgetown Elementary School, prosecutors said.
Assistant District Attorney Wesley Lambertus dismissed the charge against Walker on May 4. Walker, accused of approaching two girls on a golf cart on April 13, made bond about three weeks ago.
Lambertus said the two girls signed affidavits stating they didn’t want to prosecute.
“Reading the police report, nothing can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt, even if the victims didn’t sign it,” the prosecutor added.
