"The Hangover" for Best Movie? It must be time for the MTV Movie Awards 2010.
The network has released its list of nominees for the June 6 show, which Aziz Ansari will host. "The Hangover" leads the pack with six nominations. "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" and "Avatar" each got five nods.
Best Movie contenders include "The Hangover," "New Moon," "Avatar, "Alice in Wonderland" and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."
Up for Best Male Performance? Channing Tatum ("Dear John"), Daniel Radcliffe ("Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"), Robert Pattinson ("New Moon"), Taylor Lautner ("New Moon") and Zac Efron ("17 Again").
Never miss a local story.
Best Female Performance nominees: Amanda Seyfried ("Dear John"), Emma Watson ("Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"), Kristen Stewart ("New Moon"), Sandra Bullock ("The Blind Side") and Zoe Saldana ("Avatar").
The MTV Movie Awards is known for its unconventional categories, honors like Best Villain and Best Kiss. Of course, "New Moon" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart garnered a nomination for the latter category.
However, I hope Best Kiss goes to exes Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner for "Valentine's Day." Awkward!
Fan voting begins today and continues in most categories through Saturday, June 5. Voting for Best Movie will stay open throughout the awards show.
