A Muscogee County grand jury indicted two people this week on accusations they struck a child and failed to get her medical treatment, court records state.
Tonia Parker and Michael Escobedo, both 20, were indicted on charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault and cruelty to children, their indictment states.
The pair are accused of causing a skull fracture on a children between June 2 and June 5, 2009. Additionally, the grand jury accuses them of using a hammer-type weapon on the child, of forcing a pillow over the child’s face to prevent her breathing and failing to get her medical attention.
Escobedo faces an a charge of second-degree cruelty to children for allegedly throwing the child in the air and dropping her, his indictment states.
