Auburn hit three home runs to set a single-season school record in a 9-2 win against Tennessee at Plainsman Park on Sunday.
The Tigers (35-17, 17-10 SEC) took two of three in the series to temporarily break a three-way tie for first place SEC West. Arkansas and South Carolina are still playing and Ole Miss' game at Alabama is in a rain delay.
Trent Mummey hit two of the three homers and Hunter Morris added his league-leading 19th to give the Tigers 104 home runs this season, breaking the mark set last year.
Mummey was 3-for-5 and drove in five runs. He hit four homers and had 12 RBIs in the final two games of the series.
Never miss a local story.
Grant Dayton (7-2) earned the win, giving up two runs on nine hits in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out four.
The Tigers host Jacksonville State on Tuesday before traveling to Ole Miss next weekend for its final regular season SEC series.
