A Columbus woman told police that she believes she was drugged then raped as an acquaintance drove her around town late Friday, reports state.
The 30-year-old woman told officers that she left her home with a man known as “Art” in his creme-colored SUV around 9 p.m. on Friday. She thought they were headed to a fish fry and while en route she had three beers and a shot of gin, police report.
At some point, the man asked her for a consensual sex act, though she refused, police said.
The woman said she believes one of the drinks was drugged, because she passed out. When she awoke, the man cursed and told her she would have sex with him again, reports state.
The woman was then pushed out of the SUV near the home of a friend around 2 a.m. Saturday. She was taken by an ambulance to the hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
