It is national Bike to Work Week.
The Clean Air Campaign is encouraging Columbus residents to try a two-wheeled commute and experience the benefits of biking to work.
One benefit is that it is affordable. Bikes cost less than cars to purchase and maintain.
It's healthy, a great aerobic activity. Riding 12 miles in an hour will burn 546 calories for a 200-pound cyclist.
It's environmentally healthy. Every mile driven in a car releases a pound of pollution into the air.
