Two LaGrange brothers died Thursday afternoon when their car went off the road and collided with a telephone pole, Troup County Coroner Jeff Cook said.
Christopher Truitt, 20, was driving and his brother Quadrez Truitt, 17, was the front seat passenger when it went off Hammett Road, just north of LaGrange, around 11:30 a.m. No other vehicles were involved, the coroner said.
A third person in the car was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, Cook added.
The older brother was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:40 p.m. The younger man was pronounced dead at 12:43 p.m. at the West Georgia Medical Center, the coroner said.
