Columbus area residents should expect more of the same today, as the heat index likely will push temperatures to 107, the National Weather Service said.
There could be some storms in the area, with a chance of rain at 30 percent. That possibility drops to 20 percent tonight, as does the temperature, which will simmer down to around 76.
On Monday, the heat index again will make it feel like it's over 100 degrees, with the high settling around 103. The chance of rain will be 40 percent.
The low on Monday night will be around 75.
