Workers from the city's forestry division are removing a large tree line that fell early Tuesday morning, blocking a portion of 14th Avenue in Columbus and resting precariously on utility lines.
The limb fell in the 3300 block of 14th avenue this morning shortly before dawn, according to one resident who said he heard the noise.
City crews arrived shortly after 8am to lift the tree limb from the lines and clear the street. The limb also proved a hazard to a few residents who were leaving for work. To avoid driving under the limb, they had to drive a short distance along the sidewalk until they reached an adjacent driveway.
