The Troup County Board of Commissioners recently recognized Scott Turk, the county’s manager of special services and Geographic Information Systems, for his outstanding service.
Turk has been with the county since June 2008 when he was hired as Troup’s zoning and impact fees administrator. He is now in charge of the office of special services and also head the county’s GIS mapping office. The mapping system helps the county with 911 response and property appraisal.
Most recently, Turk produced a presentation to explain how the county’s new redevelopment powers, which were approved by voter referendum in July, would work. When county officials recognized his work at their meeting Tuesday, they specifically praised the presentation.
