Upcoming months will offer highlights like a beer festival and seafood celebration in downtown Columbus.
Representatives from Uptown Columbus on Friday unveiled a fall schedule that features a variety of new seasonal events.
Among the highlights? A Screen on the Green event on Sept. 16, which includes a free outdoor concert and movie screening of "Date Night." It will happen on the CSU Riverfront Campus, corner of Bay Avenue and 10th Street.
Also, The Market's Fresh Seafood Festival Celebration will be held in the Rankin Courtyard on Oct. 2. The event will span food, music and SEC football.

Let's not forget about that beer festival. It happens Oct. 23, with the return of The Loft's Backyard Boogie.
The event includes The Loft Brews Boogie, when patrons 21 and older will be able to sample offerings from more than 100 micro-breweries from across the nation. There will also be music during the Loft Blues Boogie that night.
Here are some other dates to mark on your calendar.
Aug. 20: Taste of the Bash kickoff show, a free outdoor concert featuring Carson Hand as well as The Original Soul Proprietors. It's 7:30-10:30 p.m. on Broadway.
Sept. 10-11: Bikes on Broadway fundraiser invades downtown Columbus
Sept. 17: Uptown Concert Series begins, free downtown concerts happen 7-10 p.m. every Friday night through Oct. 8
Oct. 16: Boots on Broadway Military Heritage Celebration, Arts on the River, backyard BBQ cook-off
Oct. 30: Spooktacular Halloween Festival
