Troup County resident Patrick Crews was recently honored by county officials for his commitment to the area with a Civic Leader Award.
The Troup County Board of Commissioners presented Crews, who is senior vice president of the LaGrange Banking Company, with the award Tuesday. Ricky Wolfe, the commission chairman, said officials wanted to show "grateful appreciation for your generous commitment of time, support and dedicated service to the people of Troup County."
According to a press release from the county, Crews is a longtime community leader. He has lived in LaGrange since 1985 and has served the community in various capacities.
He currently serves as the West Point Lake Advisory Committee chairman, Troup County Special Olympics treasurer, Troup Alive and Green chairman and First Baptist Church’s Free Dental Clinic director. He has also served on the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce board and as the chairman of DASH.
