Bankers Life and Casualty Co. has opened an office at 2901 University Ave. in Columbus.
The national life and health insurer has a target market of middle-income residents in west-central Georgia, the company said, with plans to hire 11 more agents by year’s end.
“Our growth will enable us to offer additional options for life and health insurance coverage to the many residents here and a chance to draw on a talented pool of individuals to serve them,” Daniel Burnette, unit sales supervisor for the local office, said in statement.
Dating to 1879, Bankers is a subsidiary of CNO Financial Group, which also owns Washington National Insurance Co. and Colonial Penn Life Insurance Co. Combined, the companies serve more than 4 million clients across the U.S.
