Police in LaGrange, Ga. are investigating the death of a baby.
Friday morning, police responded to a call on West Meadow Way Drive in reference to an unresponsive infant.
Police officers found a 2-month old female baby unresponsive and not breathing. CPR was begun by police and continued by personnel of the LaGrange Fire Department.
Medical personnel and the child were transported by ambulance to West Georgia Health Systems on Vernon Road.
The baby could not be saved.
An autopsy has been scheduled at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab in Atlanta.
