Columbus Northern took batting practice mid-morning Sunday in an effort to beat rain forecast for this afternoon. They originally had a scheduled practice time of 1 p.m.
After practice, players and manager Randy Morris did a series of interviews with Columbus media, and the players were busy signing baseballs and posing for photos for fans. Morris said players hope to have dinner with their parents before watching tonight's involving Texas.
Northern resumes play Monday at 6 p.m. against Hamilton, Ohio of the Great Lakes region.
