Columbus attorney Alan F. Rothschild Jr. has been elected chairman of the American Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Trust & Estate Law.
Rothschild, a partner in the law firm Hatcher, Stubbs, Land, Hollis & Rothschild LLP, was named chairman during a recent ABA meeting in San Francisco, making him only the second person from Georgia to hold the seat in the section’s 85 years of existence.
The section, which has a membership of 25,000-plus, focuses on the estate planning and real estate fields. Rothschild has practiced estate planning, taxation and general business law with Hatcher Stubbs more than 25 years.
The Columbus law firm’s roots date to 1872.
