An argument in a Columbus State University parking lot led to someone firing a shot Sunday evening, officials said.
No one was injured in the shooting, said CSU spokesman John Lester.
The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Courtyard I. An argument between people ended when a shot was fired, leading three vehicles to leave the area, Lester said.
"We are currently looking for three vehicles that were seen leaving the parking lot," he added.
Never miss a local story.
One of the cars is an older model faded blue Lincoln Towncar. The other two cars are described as compact, one gold and the other green.
The two smaller cars may have collided with each other as they left, and both should have body damage, Lester said.
A shell casing has been recovered by authorities, he added.
There are no descriptions of the suspects.
CSU police are investigating, Lester said.
