Tuskegee's Nykeem Barton scored three rushing touchdowns and the Tuskegee defense held off a second-half Morehouse surge for a 31-15 victory on Saturday at A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium.
Barton scored twice in the first half on short runs, and Jonathan Lessa hauled in a 9-yard pass to put Tuskegee ahead 21-2 at halftime.
Morehouse scored in the first half when Darrius Williams returned a blocked point-after attempt for a safety to make it 13-2 in the second quarter.
Morehouse made it 21-9 with a blocked punt return in the third quarter and on a fourth-quarter run by William Brack.
But Tuskegee added a 22-yard field goal in the third quarter and, with some help from Barton's third rushing score, held off Morehouse.
