The sexton’s office at Riverdale Cemetery in Columbus is getting a facelift.
On Tuesday, Columbus Council awarded a $96,341 construction contract to Pound Construction Company to rehabilitate the office off 10th Avenue.
The work includes cleaning and repainting all woodwork, concrete walls, wood siding and trim repairs as needed. Electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, flooring and repairs to columns also are part of the renovation.
Established in 1890, Riverdale is one of four cemeteries operated by the city of Columbus.
