Authorities are looking for the public’s help in identifying a man found dead in a Pelham Drive home on Sunday.
The deceased, believed to be 48 years old, was discovered in a vacant home Sunday afternoon. People walking in the neighborhood at the time smelled something, which led them to the house, said Columbus Deputy Coroner Charles Newton.
The people saw the deceased through an open door. Newton pronounced the man dead at 4 p.m., he said.
The black man is believed to have a birthday of March 20, 1962. He was wearing exercise pants and a pullover shirt. No foul play is suspected, Newton said.
Anyone with information about the death should contact the coroner at 706-653-3260 or police at 706-653-3400.
