Credit-card processor TSYS said today it has signed a multi-year contract extension with Bank of Ireland.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Columbus-based TSYS said it will handle consumer and commercial card processing for the Irish bank, which has been a customer since 2004. It also will service and manage the bank’s online accounts.
Bank of Ireland, which dates to 1783, is the second largest bank in that country. Allied Irish Banks is No. 1.
TSYS, which employs about 4,100 in Columbus and 7,400 globally, is a third-party payment services firm doing business in the U.S., Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific Rim.
