The Seale, Ala., woman accused of fatally stabbing Calvin Lee Jones at a School House Drive home Monday morning had her Columbus Recorder’s Court hearing postponed until Friday.
Cynthia Murray Sanders, 50, faces a murder charge in connection with the 11:45 a.m. stabbing of the 33-year-old. According to police, Jones threw a table lamp at her during a fight and grabbed her arm, bruising her. The suspect then got a large kitchen knife and stabbed him in the chest.
Columbus Recorder’s Court Judge Cynthia Maisano said at Wednesday’s hearing that Sanders’ attorney couldn’t be present. She then rescheduled the hearing for 9 a.m. Friday and ordered Sanders held without bond.
