Five days before what has turned into a tight race, Democratic Congressman Sanford Bishop and Republican challenger Mike Keown are set for their final debate.
The two men will face each other beginning at 7 p.m. in Albany's Municipal Auditorium. They will field questions from a panel of journalists in a debate sponsored by the Albany Herald.
Keown, a Georgia state representative from Thomas County who started the race 15 months as under-funded candidate, has made a strong run at Bishop in the 2nd District which covers all are parts of 32 counties from South Columbus to the Florida line and the Alabama line to Valdosta.
Keown has hammered the nine-term incumbent on his voting record, which includes support of President Obama's health-care bill.
