A would-be customer at the No. 1 Chinese Restaurant Monday night grabbed the tip jar and ran from the store, Columbus police said.
The man stepped inside the restaurant at 3759 Victory Drive around 7 p.m. He walked to the counter and looked at the menu, reports state.
An employee turned her head to ask someone a question, and when she turned back to the front of the store, she saw the suspect picking up the tip jar. He took the jar with about $75 in it and ran from the store, police said.
The suspect is black, 15- to 17-year-old and between 6-foot and 6-foot-3.
