Columbus High School will hold an open house for students interested in applying to the magnet school at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18.
The high school is liberal arts magnet. Each student takes a college preparatory program which includes four units in English, social studies, science and mathematics; four units in the humanities; and one unit in the fine arts. The school also offers 15 advanced placement courses.
Students must complete a magnet application and take a placement exam to be considered for admission. Student have until February to apply for any of the district's magnet programs.
