The Second annual Gingerbread Jubilee, which benefits the Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center, begins Saturday in the RiverMill Event Centre.
The hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.
The gingerbread houses are made by professionals, amateurs, school groups and local celebrities. Families can come in to see all the creations, which will be on display all weekend. The winning creations in each category will be announced at 3 p.m. Saturday.
There is a craft corner where children can decorate their own gingerbread house to take home with them.
In addition, there are vendors so you can get started on your Christmas shopping. Local schoolchildren will present holiday music and chef Jamie Keating will be presenting cooking demonstrations throughout the weekend. Children can visit with Santa Claus at 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, 2-5 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m.-noon and 5-6:30 p.m. Monday. Admission is free, but some of the activities may require a fee. Proceeds will benefit children being treated at The Medical Center through the Children's Miracle Network.
